This salsa was a hit with my family. I added more arbol because we like it hot. After I blended it, the salsa was kind of sweet so I simmered it in oil. It was perfect after that! I didn’t realize that frying the raw ingredients first would make the salsa sweet. Thanks for sharing that information and the recipes!

This is a winner! I followed the recipe BUT….left the chile seeds and added 1 jalapeño and 1 Serrano pepper (sautéed with the other veggies) and its is flavorful and super spicy. 🔥🔥

Wow, the Salsa Taquera has an intense flavor, which my family likes. So, I tried all the ways you suggested fryed, roasted, boiled & all three were scrumptious with roasted being my fav. The Color was so bright, but added to the food & chips. Used on tostadas, tacos, pork chops, eggs, pizza-yes pizza. Thanks so much for sharing, keeper recipe.

I’ve just made this, no additions, just as the recipe says and it’s delicious.
It’s a vibrant carrot orange colour and surprisingly creamy, due to the emulsion of the oil and water I assume.
I swear that my capsaicin tolerance is increasing because the heat level is lovely, yet I feel I’d like to try it with just one more Chili de Arbol.
I’ll keep experimenting. :-)
