Trying this recipe out. I think I already messed up :( was I supposed to active the instant yeast I just added all the ingredients together. My dough was cold and I could still see bits of the yeast.

Hi, yes. You can add a little bit more milk if the dough is too dry. Some flour absorb more liquids than others.

Is it possible for flour to asked for more milk? Mine is too dry with just 1/2 cup of milk
