This was sooooo good! I have never made a Mexican type soup. I have never picked tomatillos out, never tried a serrano. Not a big fan of cilantro, but THIS IS amazing! The only things I did different were to use chicken stock instead of water, used potatoes in the soup instead of rice and I had never had a serrano and knew I wouldn’t gage the heat, so I only used 2. Wonderful dish and will be making it a lot! Now following you as well. Thank you!

Your blog is a reference for mexican recipes, I really love how detailed you are and the options you give for the ingredients, make it easy for us living abroad. Thank you, the salsa verde chicken came out perfect. Not too sour, not too spicy, perfect.

I was craving pollo en salsa verde and found your recipe. I gravitate towards this one in particular because the salsa blends zucchini in it. I was leery but my husband and I loved it! A little Mexican rice on the side and it’s perfect!

My mom used to make these at home. I remember pairing it with rice and bread, haven’t tried pairing it with tacos! Thank you for this! I will surely make this to pair for our Tacos Nights on Friday!
