The flavor of the cake was really good, but….the cake was sitting in a puddle of the milk. If I make it again I will only use half the milk.

Hi. Try with 4 large eggs. Yes, oil is necessary to add softness to the cake, otherwise it will turn out too dense and won’t absorb the milks.

I love this recipe!! I’ve made it twice now, the first time I followed the directions exactly and it turned out perfectly. The second time I halved the ingredients and baked it in a 9 inch round cake pan for 30 minutes and it also turned out amazing! Thank you for sharing this recipe :)
