It came out PERFECT! I followed strictly the recipe and the cake was super moist and fluffy, the frosting was like the one I remember when I was a kid.

I made this cortadillos recipe yesterday and couldn’t wait to come here and tell you that the recipe was perfect! The cake is indeed spongy, super soft and with an amazing lemony flavor. I decorated with white icing and sprinkles, so no pink cake for us hehe but still was delicious. Thank you!

As an American living in the Uk, I am missing my nearby Mexican store and bakery. They used to do a chocolate cake with a vanilla butter cream so spongy and delicious. Any chance you know how they make that tall and delicious cake?
